COVID-19 SAFETY

Due to the ongoing pandemic all patients presenting for treatment are required to undergo a triage assessment. For a patient attending for the first time this will take the form of a document which will be emailed to you and will cover a number of questions about symptoms and contacts and explain all the procedures which will need to be followed to ensure that the risk of anyone bringing in or passing on a covid-19 infection is minimised as far as humanly possible. You will need to read, print, sign and bring a copy of these forms with you to your appointment. Prior to any subsequent appointments you will be sent a triage text and asked to confirm by return that you are not experiencing any covid symptoms, nor have you been in contact with anyone else who has. This is regardless of vaccination status.

As your practitioner I will be wearing appropriate PPE in accordance with the current guidelines but have also chosen to “double mask” with two IIR rated medical grade masks to increase the level of safety this affords you. I will also provide you with another of these, free of charge, to wear yourself. I will be regularly using lateral flow device testing. Should this prove positive, if I should start to experience any covid type symptoms or if I should come into direct contact with a positive covid case whilst unprotected by full PPE I will call you to cancel or rearrange your appointment until it can be ascertained that there is no risk to you. I would ask that you do the same.

Extra time is being booked between patients to allow for a stringent cleaning procedure, with all surfaces that you may come in to contact with being thoroughly cleaned between patients with a bleach solution. This extra time also allows for ventilation of the room.

During daytime hours when the entrance to the building may be used by other occupants of the building I will ask you to wait in your car for me to call you to come in when the room has been cleaned. For evening appointments this will not be necessary and you may come straight in to the waiting area just inside the front entrance to the building.

You will be asked to bring a mask to wear over your nose and mouth during your time in clinic. This should be in place before entering the clinic premises. In light of the more recent increase in Covid infections you will be asked to also wear a medical grade surgical mask which will be provided free of charge upon entering the treatment room.

Hand sanitiser will be readily available for your use.

Please wear loose, light clothing with no thick seams. As I am having to open the windows frequently for ventilating the room this should help to keep you warmer. You may be asked to remove only the necessary layers to enable to best treatment for your area of concern.

As the couch will not have any fabric coverings, to facilitate regular cleaning, you will need to bring a towel from home to put on the couch for your comfort.

The patient's chair will be placed 2m from myself for any initial discussions prior to commencing hands on treatment and weather permitting the window will be left open.

Appointment Fees may be paid using contactless card payment.
